Eli Halpin grew up in Alaska and now lives and paints in Austin Texas. Her work tells stories of sharing, living and working together, the sacredness of food, and the cycle of life and death. The scenes Eli paints are infused with romance and humor while emphasizing the instinct, intuition and wisdom of nature. She loves to add spray paint, acrylic, paper, and a wide variety of mixed materials and textures. Eli uses large brushes to lay down super thick paint in a bright and metallic, messy and drippy style. Her favorite subject matter to enjoy and celebrate are animal characteristics, such as paws, whiskers, horns, tusks and claws.
