Kate Segal
Native New Yorker, Kate Segal is based in Manhattan. Spending time in the museums of New York City, she became inspired by abstract and contemporary artists such as Henri Matisse, Hilma af Klint, and David Hockney. Kate is a self-taught visual artist, textile designer, and illustrator and has a PhD in Clinical Psychology. Her life’s work fully integrates art and psychology. In addition to her artwork, Kate uses her creative and intuitive abilities to help people to explore themselves. Her joyful art is created with the intention to bring happiness and reflection to its viewers. Her art incorporates her signature use of uplifting and bold colors and is embedded with themes of nature, spirituality, and the human condition, with an emphasis on the female experience. Kate uses digital methods to create artwork, illustrations, textile designs, wallpaper, giftwrap, and greeting cards.
